You would see significant performance boots by having a multi-threaded i7, and certainly more RAM. I would consider 16Gb as a minimum with this kind of work, and if you do a lot of it, 32Gb is helpful.

Also, if you have the room to do so, you should 'work' from the SSD drive (just mentioning in case you're editing from the HD).
