Question Problem when enabling DLSS in games - - no difference in FPS ?

I recently bought an RTX 4060 and it works fine but when i enable DLSS in games, it only increase sharpness with no increase in FPS.

i updated drivers and used both game-ready driver and studio driver (Clean installation)

has anyone encountered this problem and solved it ? please share ur experiences

Resolution : 1920x1080
60hz Refresh rate

Build:

Asus RTX 4060 Dual Evo OC

i5–11400f

Hp V8 16gb Ram

PSU Corsair CV650

AFAIK, that is precisely what it is supposed to do.

The dlss package includes upscaling and Frame Generation
frame generation is what i am targeting right now and it shall increase fps by using frames that was generated by AI using tensor core in gpu

What game actually? Using DLSS means you will be using resolution much lower than 1080p (your current native res). If you did not see FPS increase then it is most likely cpu bottleneck.

Vsync enabled? What monitor did you have? At 1080p 4060 should be able to give you decent performance in those game without the need to go DLSS.

Can you state what FPS you were getting before trying DLSS? You have a 60mhz monitor is all so if you are hitting that cap then it would explain any lack of change. Also DLSS at 1080p is far from the ideal scenario as the amount of data there is to work with would often result in some graphical oddities and certainly less than native quality.

Also what RAM config and speed do you have? Is it a 2 x 8gb or 1 x 16gb?
