I am getting tired of running from you guys
It doesn't take any effort to run F@H, just install and forget..

Running the prog is no prob, but running to find new rigs to connect, to chase/catch everyone else?
It's fine for you to say, you are using 13 chips (2 new ones eh), but poor flinx only has 5, while sparky is using 6, and I'm after the 2 of them with 7. You are the only one with a solid hold on your position. Maybe sparky and I should join xnilf to catch you?
Just kidding of course oh noble leader.

Looks like I'm eternal now. I am tired of being a poster-child. 900 more posts till I get to the forum stuff.

Thanks for offering help, but I want to see how far I can go by myself. Ranks doesn't matter much to me.

Usually it takes 2+ years to lose interest in THGC. I've posted very little in the last couple of months.

I,ve been posting for 2 years this may. I'm not loosing interest, just making a joke about the titles. I just became an eternal poster. It's been 2600+ posts that I've had poster in my tittle. It's been a long time, and had never made the joke about being a "poster-child".
If TGGA razes you, pm me and we will see who has the last laugh. Besides, I think he may stop after he beats vapor's points, so yanking his chain may mean more WUs, for a good cause.

Oh I agree that's tough. I have to do it myself you know. Anyway, I did post the most stable way to run F@H on a computer you don't access or log into very often. Sure I managed to hook into a couple of dual Xeon workstations but it's nice to have something to aim at no? I notice alot of guys have really upped their output which is great! Protein folding really is important, relevant science (unlike SETI - jibe intended).

wOOt!!!

We are currently ranked at 425!! We put in anice 24Hr average of 6406 points, which is enough to drop boards.ie from our threat list!!!!

Everyone take a deep bow

If we can keep up this kind of production, we can crack the top 400 in less than a week!!!

Lets go THGC, fold away!!

XP2800+, Abit NF7, 1GB Dual-Channel DDR333, ATI R9800PRO 128MB, TT PurePower 420W, LG DVD+-R/RW

Only because I managed to fold some big points in the last couple days. Problem is I gotta keep up the pace or you will take me down.

Usually I spend at least 2-5 mins/day at THGC. I've made 6500 posts ~2 months ago, but in last couple of months I've managed only little more than 160 posts.

Besides losing some interest in THGC, another reason for posting less here is Banglacricket.com forum. I've posted a lot there since I've registerd (26 days ago). If you're interested in Cricket, then you're welcome at Banglacricket.com forum.

Dang,

My fastest machine has been relegated to folding these sad 48 pointers. p957_pa_drf2. Takes a little over 8hrs for 48points. Maybe I'll get better stuff next time.

The loving are the daring!

Make sure you allow packets >5MB. I usually get GROMACS on all machines where I specify that. Uses about 100K mem per core though so I only specify it where I have ~1GB memory or so.

I enabled the >5MB option and am now working on a 400 frame TINKER. Then I have a GROMACS core that is not on the list of points??? 1141_RIBO_FSpeptide but with 250 frames. Taking 29 min per frame .

I aint signing nothing!!!

That 1141_Ribo is a juicy one!
600 credits/points http://vspx27.stanford.edu/psummary.html

Seems like it to me. I think the points per hour are more. I think they made a mistake in the calculations or u get a bonus or something.

Also they shock the heck out of the people ur passing

I've done 14 of the 957s. 48 pts for just over 7 hrs isnt too bad. The ones I hate are the 212s. My main rig is working on it's 3rd, they take 25 hrs, and are only woth 135. I can do one of the 400 frame units in the same time.

The formula for points is 110*daysPerWU so a 600 pointer should take 5.5 days on a Pentium4 2.8GHz. Well, one of my PIII 1.26-S CPUs takes 4.5 days. The reason is simply that they benchmark the units without SSE enabled and GROMACS totally uses SSE/3D Now! to make the calculations 3x faster. So any SEE enabled chip is going to knock out WUs faster than the benchmark getting you points faster!

Thanks, I got some more CPUs on board so should be able to crank out ~10,000/week now.

Yes, I added a couple of Xeon Workstations last weekend. Now I have

1 Dual PIII 1.26GHz
1 Dual AMD 2400+
1 Dual Xeon 3.2GHz
1 Dual Xeon 3.0 GHz
1 P4 3.0 GHz
1 P4 2.8 GHz
2 P4 2.4 GHz
1 P4 2.0 GHz

Lots of good things are happening with the team. I really don't know where to begin. I'll do something a little more formal in the graphic forum thread. But I'll start with this:

Congratulations

"sjonnie" has hit over 50,000 points. Pretty impressive, and continues to have the highest folding points average in the team.

"Xnilf" and "Chipdeath" have cracked the 15,000 point barrier to sit up there with "RareTech". "Sidvicious" is only a few hundred points away from joining us so he won't be long either.

New Members A whole pile of new contributors!!!
Welcome "blackphoenix77", "PhukFace", "apesoccer", "Xiphos","RobC1880", "ComradeMiskin","TheGreatGrapeApe" and "rx8".

Our average can only get better.

Gmail Prizes I deem the contest a success. I have given away 3 Gmails to date!!! I hope more people ask. The Gmail giveaways seem to get refreshed.

The loving are the daring!

Yeah, "FRM" passed us last month sometime.. They're in position 331 right now FRM

Be nice to get those X!(#$#*)*

Their average is a about 10,000 points per day. I don't know if we're there yet.

I've got that one, after I turned on "allow 5 > MB WU's"
