[SOLVED] Psu connectors

I have a gigabyte mb with:

1. 1 x 24-pin ATX main power connector
2. 1 x 4-pin ATX 12V power connector

connectors. Now my Delux power source has 20+4. I have tested the psu by shorting pins green and black and it starts, I didn't test it with my multimeter yet. The power button pins are connected ok, but it does not start. Does this happen because the psu lacks those 4pins and instead has 20? Or maybe there is something else wrong... Thank you.

The 20+4 connects to the 24-pin connector and you need a second connector for the other 4-pin connector. Sounds like you just need a different PSU.

What is the make/model of the PSU you are trying to use?

No.

20+4 = 24. Those stay together to create a 24-pin.

If the PSU doesn't have a separate 4-pin, it's a REALLY old PSU and you need to replace it.
