Titanium rating has been out for a minute. Probably won't be any higher without a complete change in how psus work. Components give of heat, therefore there is some resistance, which will lower efficiency. A lossless, 100% efficiency would be great, especially on the electric bill, but ain't gonna happen any time soon.

You never know. They may be able to push them to 98% at best.

I still want a Uranium rated PSU. That way if there is a bad brand we can say it will go Nuclear.

iknow this topic is about powersupplies,

however whats going on with the 403 errors? i see that its getting fixed here and there , however its still stupid i cant help people providing links(like the no post / boot topic)

any mods know more info?

I haven't seen any errors recently and I've been on a bit more than usual the last few days.

I know the temp guide in my sig had some strange problems but that was months ago if not last year.

You should make a post in the Forum Feedback section and be as detailed as possible. They like screenshots. Kevin will see it tomorrow and forward the info to the devs.

Hi, So on the lookout for a new PSU, my budget was approx £100. I then noticed this deal on Amazon for a HX850i. Just wondering is it worth it? I asked else where and I was recommended to go for a 750W Seasonic G Series thats near the same price. Around that £100-£130 price point there is a lot of good PSUs, just wondering what people would recommend. I have a old i7 3830 that I will be over clocking and currency running SLI GTX770 that I hope to replace soon for a 1070/1080. Then in a few years I will upgrade the MB/CPU.

Thanks for the reply. Right, so you think I should jump on that deal as its unlikely I'll get a better one, or wait till the 25th see if a better deal comes up? My PC is still up and running fine with my old PSU so I'm not stuck without or anything. But I wouldn't mind seeing if a Corsair AX model dropped in price

Edit: I fairly sure it is but 850w should be more than enough for 2x 770 sli, right?

Thank you! Because my friend has a system consisting of the FX 8320 and the CX750M( The newer one) . He had me pop it in my system since it was stuttering on his. So i started up BF4 and i said : Let's max this hooker out" So i cranked everything up and the frame counter hit 19FPS and it frooze. Forcing us to CTRL - ALT- Delete out. He said it was my crappy PSU and that his CX is better than my Seasonic.

Don't want to fray away from the PSU topic. So thanks!

Yes he has the newer black and grey Corsair CXM 750W. He thinks it's better because it has more wattage. I told ihm if it were my PSU then the system would have shut down or blue screen. Which it didnt. Just sounds like a normal AMD card that cant handle BF4 max out 200% res scale like my 1070 😀

In any freeze where you can ctrl-alt-del out of it it's always software related. A hardware freeze is permanently frozen, you ain't getting out of it.

@logainofhades: CX750M worst of the bunch? It was always a more modern design than the others with DC-DC converters. The lesser-wattage ones were group regulated. That alone makes it better.

I tried to Alt-Tab out of the game but that didnt work. So i could only Ctrl-Alt-Delete out of it . Probably his graphics card. We popped it in my system due to it stuttering in his system.
