When Im using my monitor I use an analog 5.1 Creative setup I bought as an "open box" item at Best Buy for a whopping $15.. When Im outputing to the TV I have the spdif connected to my 5.1 Aiwa receiver with a collage of real speakers connected to it.

Creative Inspire T6100 speakers, though I don't have the front middle speaker and the two rear speakers hooked up right now.

I should be moving in the near future and hopefully I can get everything setup to where I have somewhere to put them!

My sound card is the built in sound on my P6T Deluxe. I've always used Sound Blaster sound cards and since this time I am not I figured I'd get new speakers.

Running inexpensive Logitech 2.1 setup that is probably eight years old. A few times in the past I've connected my pc to a projector and a Denon A/V receiver/JBL Studio 5.1 setup through an Auzentech card and it was pretty cool.

When Doom 3 first came out I had a Turtle Beach SC card and 5.1 in the dark with that game is freaky. Simple things entertain me, like throwing a grenade and doing a '180' to hear it explode behind me. 😀

[citation][nom]licenz2kill[/nom]Klipsch Pro-Media 2.1Best ever![/citation]
I'm still using a pair of Klipsch 2.1's myself. I've got to see if I can fix em though... sometimes one of the satelites won't play and they get funny when you touch the control knob. But hey, they are about 9 years old so what can I expect. They're still the best speakers I've ever heard. Wish Klipsch was still making more PC speaker sets... they still do 2.0's and maybe 2.1's but they don't do the 4.1 or 5.1's anymore from what I've seen and heard.

I use the discontinued Monsoon flatpanels, and accompanying subwoofer. The sound is amazing; for $80 you can't find clearer trebles in a speaker, though the midranges are a little bit lacking

I use 900mhz wireless headset from cables unlimited. Its much better than speakers. you can hear stuff as loud as you want and dont bother anybody. Plus the sound quality is great.

Lol... logitech z5500 with dual 12" mtx thunder 8000 in a dual ported enclosure on an audiobahn A8000V amp with a high current battery charger hooked to an optima redtop. Gun fire is insane.

[citation][nom]WyomingKnott[/nom]....jtt283 mentioned being deaf in one ear. My daughter is deaf in both. So let me tell you her setup. She plugs one end of a $150 stereo-to-mono cable into the PC, and the other into a jack on the processor ($6,000) for her cochlear implant ($52,000). It's a little spooky, sometimes, seeing her plugged directly into Itunes, signals straight to the brain with no sound waves involved.Anybody else running a $58,000 sound system? At 1.0?[/citation]

Now that is cool. Good for her. It wouldn't work for me though. My left ear works just fine. With the theocrats out of power, perhaps enough stem-cell & cloning research will get done that will someday allow me to get a new 8th cranial nerve and get it reconnected. I don't think about it a lot, but I do miss stereo sometimes.

(some of these audio setups look amazing, even the MacGyver ones)

JBL 5.1 and a Yamaha receiver. Connected via optical. Receiver is too old for HDMI or 7.1 or the like. Does wonders for listening to music, playing games in surround sound, and watching movies.

Klipsch ProMedia 2.1. It's THX certified and sounds good even for music. I don't have room in my office for rear speakers. I wish they had better connectors as the mini plug often gets loose and you may have to wiggle this sucker a little to get the sound back out of the right speaker.

Klipsh 5.1 Ultras. I love them and they're still going stong after 4 years. If I knew they were going to be discontinued, I'd have bought a spare to keep in reserve like I've got an extra 21"CRT sitting around.

That's awesome. I took a year of ASL my senior year of college and have an immense amount of respect for the deaf community and the hard of hearing.
L-O-L @ Computer speakers.
Elitist.

Impressive, but there is no way I could work at that desk, ergonmics is a high priority for me.

Logitech 400W 5.1 Thx certified. Don't think they make em anymore but they're a great set and sound amazing. Last time I checked, Logitech didn't seem to have any THX certified speakers. I suppose its prolly a licensing thing.

I've got the Logitech z5500 system with a xonar DX2 card. It's good, but not as good as it was on my old audigy card.

hahahaha Bose and Logitech. I remember back in the day when I used to think that these brands were the best bang for the buck

I use Swan M10 2.1 speakers paired with an Asus Xonar D2. Excellent sound reproduction and they work great with games.
