SPECS:

CPU : i7 6700
CPU Fan Cooler : Arctic Freezer 34 eSports DUO
PSU : EVGA 700W GD GOLD
GPU : Gigabyte RX 590 (rev 2.0) - 8GB
MOTHERBOARD : ASUS H110-M Plus
RAM : 8 x 1 2133 Mhz
CASE : Corsair Spec-Delta RGB

My motherboard is kinda broken due to only accepting RAM from the 1st slot (which means I can't put anything more than 8gb )

So the question is: should I upgrade the motherboard and RAM?

Also can I ask if the Z270-A Pro allows RAM speeds of up to 3200 MHZ? Or do I need to overclock as I have a non-k CPU?
Z270-A Pro allows ram speeds up to 3800/3600mhz in OC mode.
Ram overclocking doesn't require K-series CPU.
To run ram at speeds higher than 2133mhz, you'll have to turn on XMP in BIOS.

Check cpu socket for bent pins. Probably some are bent or broken.

You can use 16GB ram module also.
I asked another question relating to this not long ago, and someone said this:

'Motherboard uses 2 x DIMM, Max. 32GB, DDR4 2400/2133 MHz Non-ECC, Un-buffered Memory.
6th Gen CPU- 2133MHz
7th Gen CPU- 2400MHZ'

Should I just upgrade the motherboard in a not expensive manner? and buy RAM that is compatible with the MOBO - for instance, the MSI Z270-A PRO?

BTW Sorry for the long delay in replying, was busy.

Did you check cpu socket for bent/broken pins?
Make a high res photo of cpu socket and post here.
(upload to imgur.com and post link)

If cpu socket is the problem and can not be fixed, then yes - get a new board.
I've checked a week ago and there were no bents, it's just the 2nd RAM slot that is broken and thus frustrating me - I might as well get a new board, Also can I ask if the Z270-A Pro allows RAM speeds of up to 3200 MHZ? Or do I need to overclock as I have a non-k CPU?

Hey again, just wanted to ask if the Z270-A Pro has a 12V RGB header for my case (SPEC-DELTA), and if it does will it work? This is my last Q,, I'm ever so grateful for your help.
