I am assuming the HDD is to store stuff like documents, picture, and video? I would suggest maybe a 1tb SSD for OS, and then the 4tb for games. I am unsure of the quality that PSU has. Why the slim fans?

Microcenter has a bundle that includes a 7900xt, just as an FYI.

idk why slim fans, they were js cheaper. you are correct on the hdd, and would a 500gb ssd suffice for OS? I picked the psu because its the cheapest a rated.

also ive changed my list to include a 7900 XTX because apparently the xt won't reach 240+ fps on modern games

I revised a few things:

1. Ditched the 7950X3D x670e micro center bundle

2. went from 7900 XT to a 7900 XTX

3. changed from ATX to MATX because ATX might be too big (correct me if im wrong because ATX does have way more perks (like the micro center bundle))

4. changed fans

5. went with a 2tb drive instead of 4tb

I would check that the software you are using makes use of that many cores. Premiere pro, for example, there is little difference between a 7800x3d and a 7900x or 7950x.

this bundle for 1350?

New egg price for the individual parts is 1635 as near as I can tell. That's 21 percent more.

Clearly an excellent price, BUT................

What games do you have in mind?

Gaming much more important than music production? Or the reverse?

How soon must you buy?

What drives, case, cooler, and PSU do you expect to use?
1. yes.

2.black myth, csgo, elden ring, val, fort, more fps games

3.gaming is SLIGHTLY more important than music production

4. whenever its on sale

5. Acer GM7000+seagate exos+crucial t700 if I have money left over, thermal right phantom spirit or dh-15, montech air 65 or lian li lancool 216, adata core reactor xpg

Again, keep it to 1 thread
should I get the 7950x3d or the 7800x3d? I will be mainly gaming but I will also be doing music production (fl studio, waveform) and very light video editing (davinci resolve)

I'd stick with the 7800X3D, the dual CCD (X3D) chips do not make life easy for gaming.

Yeah that's what I heard about the 9950X. I do a mix of gaming and core intensive production tasks so I went with this chip.

I saw that the 9950X has the same dual CCD setup as the x3D chips that requires core parking... but meh... I'm already running games at maximum settings and capping fps via brute force with this hardware. Don't see the need.
