Reason to get an Antec 900 over Antec 1200? (Computer Cases)

I'm just wondering if there is any reason to not buy a 1200 over a 900 other than the cost. With my case being one of the last two parts I'm ordering for a new build, a family member has decided to buy me one. Sometime in the near future I'd like to add a couple more hard drives to my [future] RAID setup, and also I figure the 1200 will also be less of a hassle when I break down and buy one of those new-fangled foot-long graphics cards.

List all your components 900 watts is alot of power and 1200 watts is probably way overkill. Unless your gonna be running a tri or quad gpu system the 900 is plenty of power.

OOPS lol i have power supplies on the brain today just bought one for my sisters computer. That is really a question of how big do you need are you gonna have a massive raid array in your case you go with the full tower if not the 900 will be plenty of room.

Antec 1200 looks better and has fan controllers built discretly into the fan grills on the front. Yes it is more expensive, but has bags of extra room and has the scope for much better cooling.

I have 2 antec 900 cases, they lots of room, I have a 9800GX2 in one of them.
Can't complain about the 900, the 1200 is roomier, a little bigger.

either one of them won't dissapoint you.

The biggest difference is the 1200 is bigger than the 900.
you can still put a lot of stuff in the 900.

In my opinion, you might as well get the 1200 if it is in your budget. With that case, you will never have to worry about cooling or space ever again for any of your future builds.

I have three 900's, but I never plan to run two video cards. A 900 would be pretty cramped with two video cards.

The main difference between the 1200 and the 900 is its bigger and it has more fans.

Can the 900 fit cards like the HD 5870 or 5970 reasonably? That would be a huge point for me... also if the 900 can handle one, what about if you went crossfire?

So I think I've decided to buy the 1200 over the 900 or the 902, mainly because it's roomier and I can't exactly pocket the extra cash that was offered specifically for my case.

As a proud owner of the Antec 1200... I think you made the right decision going with it over the Antec 900. I fit two GTX 260 Core 216 SC in it with room for a third, if I ever felt it was needed (won't because I would just upgrade to the GTX 470 instead). Make sure you pick up a 8-pin ATX Power Connector Extension, so you can run the cable behind the motherboard tray. If you haven't bought a PSU yet and can purchase from Newegg.com, look at the Antec 1200 & Antec CP850 combo deal.

According to the specs of the of the Antec 900, it should definitely fit a 5970 but you might to arrange/mod the hard drive cage. As for crossfire, it would have to depend on your mobo and system arrangements. I would definitely suggest the Antec 1200 just so its future proof (ATI might come out with a 6000 series in a few years and it might be longer) and you'll have more room to play with (Crossfire, heatsink, HD, Ram w/heatsink).
