[SOLVED] Recommendation motherboard for support of 2 slot M2 NVME

I'd like to buy a motherboard which support 2 slots M2 NVME PCIE 4.0.

A lot of current motherboards support 2 NVME, but only one with PCIE 4.0.

I found that AMD offer the X570, but I can't find nothing for intel.

It seems that the Z690 support PCIE 5.0, so can it support 2 NVME PCIE 4.0?

From the link that you posted the Z690 support only one 4.0, check the section "High Speed M.2 Solution" on asus site.

My goal is to have a RAID 0 with 2 NVME PCIE 4.0. Do I need to buy the asus hyper card or I have everything I want from the motherboard?

they just give them a "hyper" marketing name.

Why do you think is not a good idea?

I'm going to build BSC full node which require "1T GB of free disk space, solid-state drive(SSD), gp3, 3k IOPS, 125MB/S throughput, read latency <1ms. (if start with snap/fast sync, it will need NVMe SSD)". Also I read in a lot of discussion online the importance of ssd extreme performance and with RAID 0 I can achieve really good performance on both read/write.

What do you suggest?

Using the drives in RAID would mean lowering the speed to MSATA and getting much lower performance.

When connected via pice 4.0 your drive is already pushing data at nearly 5GB per second, which is already 40 times faster than the minimum required for a BSC node, and probably way more than it will ever need. In any case, RAID would reduce performance significantly.

the spec calls for 3k iops. Even the slowest pcie 4.0 nvme drive will run at 12k iops, easily 4 times what is required.

So now the last question is Intel or AMD? Z690 vs x570?

I know that maybe there is no real concerning difference, but from your experience would you prefer AMD based solution or Intel?
