Reinstalled XP = Increase in CPU Temp!

Hello. I did some early spring cleaning and performed clean reinstall of Windows. After everything was up and running, I noticed that my idle CPU temperature was up by 10C compared to before I did the reinstall. (I'm using Motherboard Monitor.) I was not using any type of cooling software, like Rain. I thought it was the number processes and services, but I have that set to how it was in the original install. I'll try air cleaning my fans, but it was just strange to have such a big difference. Has anyone experienced this? What might have caused this increase in temperature? Thanks.

try checking the cpu temperature in the bios
