I bought a Rosewill s500 RGB case that has a controller with a 3 pin VDG connector and a 3 pin ARGB connector. Both are 5V. My motherboard is an Asus Crosshair V Formula-Z. I looked in the manual and don’t see any connectors that would work. Is there any adapters that would fix this?

Yes, your mobo has NO lighting device headers so you neeed a third party Controller for fans with ARGB lighitng. The most conventient style uses a free downloadable software utility (MUST be the one supplied by the Controller maker) to configure your displays. It draws power from a PSU connection and has a cable to connect to a mobo USB2 header. The software runs under Windows and communicates with the Controller box by that USB connection. The Cooler Master unit linked by L:utfij above does that well, and includes the ability to connect it to a mobo header so the mobo can do display control, rather than the Controller box doing that job. You do NOT have to use it that way, and since your mobo has no such header you can't.

Another similar unit by Razer

does the job well, also, but does not have the possibility of linking to a mobo lighting header that you don't have.

BOTH of these units are for power and control of the LIGHTS only in the fans. Their MOTOR cables still connect elsewhere.

The most common design of "ARGB Fans" has TWO cables coming out of each fan. One ends in a 4-hole female smaller connector that fits onto a standard mobo fan header. The other has a wider cable that looks like it has 4 holes but one is blocked off - just like the one near your thumb in the photo - and that's for the lights in the frame. If your FANS have those, then you have an option. You can connect the cable from your fan Hub as shown in your photo to one ouput port of the Controller, and plug the fans' LIGHTING cables into the HUB IF that Hub actually has lighting ports on it. OR you can skip the Hub for the lighting cables and plug each of them into the ports of the Controller.

Thank you guys for the help! you guys are quick haha.

This is the connector which supply’s the lighting and power to each fan. 5 cables running into a 6 pin connector on the controller. Proprietary things suck.

Unfortunately your last post did not contain a photo. But since your fans have properietary connectors so that you must conneect them to the Hub, they you CAN use the a thirdparty Controller for this. Simply use the cable shown in your original post from the Hub to plug into one of the output ports of the new Controller. Then use the Controller's software tool to configure displays. This is VERY similar to using that cable to plug into a mobo header - you are just plugging into a different signal source.
