Normally the 4 additional pins simply detaches and you can plug the remaining 20 pin into the MB and use the unit. Read your PSU manual and find if the psu is 20/24 pin compatible. There is also an adapter you can buy that will convert a 24 pin to the 20 pin your MB requires. HTH.
