Hello,

I usually can read peoples posts and figure out what my problem is and today that could not be replicated. As the title says I have a 860 evo ssd and it is a m.2. I took it out of my older motherboard and put it in a newer motherboard hence the asus tuf b560m mentioned in the title. It can not be found by the bios what so ever. I have tried changing the CSM settings and uefi settings around as well as turning off secure boot. I can also verify it is installed correctly and there is not any debris or anything in the motherboard or on the ssd. I do have a weird issue where the mb doesnt seem to recognize that the cpu fan is spinning or not. It does find the usb I plug into the back of the pc with windows 11 installation on it. However windows on the usb also can not find the m.2. Also the m.2 is in the m.2_1 slot. Is there something that I have to do here?( bios version 2001)

This motherboard?

A SATA M.2 dive can only be installed in the M.2_2 slot.
