[citation][nom]kartu[/nom]I don't get the whol FPS without mouse concept. This is a show stopper, consoles just cannot do it.Also try to play nearly any RTS, say, Starcraft anyone? How could one play it on console?[/citation]
Sure, the mouse is way more accurate than a thumbstick for aiming. But the left thumbstick on a controller is way more comfortable and easy to use than the keyboard for movement. Plus, having buttons at your finger tips instead of scattered over the keyboard is way more efficient. But it's clearly a personal preference. Crysis, for example, I found to be much easier to play after plugging in my 360 controller.
As for RTSs, absolutely the PC wins. You just can't get the depth an RTS deserves on a console. Just look at Halo Wars. It plays well, but is an extremely dumbed down RTS with many handicaps. It doesn't compare at all to something like Company of Heroes or Dawn of War or 10-year-old Starcraft even.
So, obviously there is something to be said for both platforms. There are advantages and disadvantages all around. But certainly if someone was coming into gaming and asking whether to buy a PC or a 360 or PS3, I'd tell them to go with the console. It's simply a better value and you don't have to worry about compatibility issues and drivers. But there'll always be a place in my heart for PC gaming.
