Hi!

Is there a way to save a backup of boot sector for Win XP on the diskette?

The short answer is yes. But, if you're trying to use this as a boot disk -
there's other better and easier ways. One such way is to go to
http://www.bootdisk.com - they have a wealth of information on bootdisks and
how they function.

There's this free utility to save your MBR to disk: MBRWork and it's located
here:
http://www.terabyteunlimited.com/utilities.html Be careful tho' - you can
do more damage with this powerful tool!
