this is my first time on one of these chat things, so, please indulge. My
computer system (HP Pavilion a250n) got moved several weeks ago. Now,
nothing works right and the folks that helped me are making themselves scarce
now that the work is done except for THE WORK BEING DONE. That is, most of
everything didn't work. I'm figuring it all out as I go, but the thing I'm
stuck on now is ..... the scanner I have hooked up now (mikrotek 4850)
generates a highly contrasted images with almost all color bleached out of
it. can only see outline of objects/people/whatever. The other scanner (HP
3970) won't even generate an image .... acts as it has no powe and system
doesnt recongize its prescence....some of "associates" have advised me that I
have faulty equipment, some say it's the drivers, some say there hooked up
wrong....I say, "why did te all work a couple of weeks ago before I moved my
office accross the room (about 40 feet)" Is there some tests ordiagnostics I
can run to isolate the isue so I can adderss the issue without the guess work
and/orbuying all new stuff?

Thank you in advance for any adivse that out there,,,,

For the scanner without power; does the outlet it's plugged into work?
For the "faulty" scanner; I doubt it's "WINDOWS" or the computer, you may
want to troubleshoot at "MICROTECK's" site.....
