Question Second monitor randomly disconnects

I recently got a second monitor (ASUS VP249HR), and it has started to randomly disconnect from my computer. I think it has been doing this since I first got it, but it has been happening more and more frequently. I can fix the problem temporarily by unplugging the HDMI and plugging it back in, but it just disconnects again later. This monitor is plugged into my processor's integrated graphics (i5 4690k), and my primary monitor is plugged into my graphics card. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Unplug your primary monitor from the GPU and plug the secondary monitor in the GPU. This way, you can find out if the problem is with the display or with the integrated graphics.
