What are you doing with the rig?
If tinkering with surfing, Netflix, and MS Office, you might be perfectly happy with four cores/threads for two or more years...; if playing games that are not overly demanding, you might be happy as is for a while , depending on the game in question
Although the GTX1050 Ti limits 1080P frame rates in many modern games anyway, at some point, certainly the 8100 (a rebadged earlier i5-7600) with it's four threads will limit gaming FPS counts , and, might contribute to 'quad core stutter' that some experience... (Were an 8700K or 9700/9700K available at a reasonable cost, assuming compatible with your mainboard (not all mainboards' VRMs are suitable for 95-135W TDP CPUs), that would be a life extension...
