I checked the performance and it has an average of 60% load and 50° C (122° F) temperature. It is an almost 3 year old Intel Core i3-8100. I was talking to someone about it and they said that I should get a better one. Should I or not?

Solution
What are you doing with the rig?

If tinkering with surfing, Netflix, and MS Office, you might be perfectly happy with four cores/threads for two or more years...; if playing games that are not overly demanding, you might be happy as is for a while , depending on the game in question

Although the GTX1050 Ti limits 1080P frame rates in many modern games anyway, at some point, certainly the 8100 (a rebadged earlier i5-7600) with it's four threads will limit gaming FPS counts , and, might contribute to 'quad core stutter' that some experience... (Were an 8700K or 9700/9700K available at a reasonable cost, assuming compatible with your mainboard (not all mainboards' VRMs are suitable for 95-135W TDP CPUs), that would be a life extension...

The i3-8100 is not the same chip as an i5-7600. Where did you ever get that idea?
