However, if you were running two powerful cards, you could have one lower end card dedicated for PhysX and it wouldn't be limited, correct? I always figured the main draw of having the third card was PhysX, not so much for rendering.

Correct, you'd be limited to the bandwidth of that 8x slot but you would never saturate it with a dedicated PhysX card. You'd also be back to 2 way SLI, but that would be a nice upgrade path.

@wildfox - Even without the SSD, it will still be a screamer. The biggest kicker is the price is too high to keep it a midrange budget gaming machine without breaking the bank. Maybe as an added option, but SSD's are still too expensive. I'd rather have a Raptor than pay the arm and a leg for an SSD.

It's very interesting to hear everyone's current systems of a 386, emachine, and beige color computers but seriously? Are we still using ancient machines to play games? Are you still playing Space quest or Leisure Suit Larry? All of us here need the system for our gaming addiction and I bought $400 dollars of games this year and have yet to play it.
