I got the PS3, Wii, and 360. I've played all of them once this year and I must say that even though those have alot of titles to back it up. There's no hell of a way you can play RTS and MMOs on system consoles. So good luck to you and to all of us!

[citation][nom]freddielol[/nom]Anyone here a LOST fan?[/citation]

I've watched all of Lost but unfortunately, i'm still Lost. I am very proud to say that I was on set where they had the airplane crash. The funny thing is, they even fooled the locals because they thought it was real. What's your question about Lost anyway.

[citation][nom]cdu_above[/nom]If you pick this post to win, I promise to give the blessing a loving home. I won't even disgrace it's greatness by surfing porn on it. That sort of debauchery would be reserved for that beige thing over there. I wouldn't even use compressed or canned air during daily maintenance but instead pray for angels to come down from the heavens to gently blow the dust from within.Aside from the Cheeto dispenser and Bawls holster, I promise to not modify the machine in anyway. The box is perfect as is and, like a newborn delivered by a stork, I would always want to remember it as it was the first time I laid eyes on it at my door step. Thank you and good luck to everyone.[/citation]

Sounds like your going to resell it for cash. Just kidding. But i do agree with you. It's a system where it should not be modified or swapped with. It's great as it is unless components start to give you problems. Keep it how it is.

But what if I change Tom's to Tom'$? It becomes Tom'$ and...oh look, they must be evil now, lol. =P

You hear that future winner! If you change anything, xnashx will hunt you down and make you pay!

What does Lost have to do with...anything... 😵 Then again, someone just said "I like cheese!" so I suppose anything is fair game...I guess...

[citation][nom]mrand3rs0n[/nom]Hmmm. Yes, something that awesome would be a fine replacement for the hyperdrive in my melinnium falcon. Increased performance for my holo-chess too![/citation]
Unfortunately, the motherboard this comes with is not compatible with Millennium Falcons due to a socket change.

I'm not sure what Lost has to do with this but someone just posted if anyone seen Lost. Kinda weird but okaayyy.

Do I want this computer? Yes. Why do I want it? Cause it is awesome. Do you really think this is necessary? Necessary? Is it necessary for me to kick ass? Yes yes it is.

I am used to building and selling much more conservative systems, since most of my costumers are small businesses. I have always been a big fan of mods, & raw computing power. CyberPower did a great job with the aesthetics, & the hardware. I love the Azza Hurricane 2000 Full Tower Gaming Case it is very good looking. I would use that case for a build of my own, it has the 4 Hot Swappable HDD Cage & a total of 8 fans! (4) 230MM (2)120mm in the front, (1)120mm on the left side, & (1) 120mm in the rear for exhaust. The air ventilation alone is fantastic on this case the cable management drilled though the motherboard tray is only one the things they have done to give this case great air flow. The case alone has all the features you could want, easy access & assembly, deep enough for the biggest video cards, 2 SSD HD bays I could go on & on.The hardware in the this system is great, you can have up to a 360mm radiator mounted in the case, one thing I would defiantly do is add 2 SSD Hard Drives right away. CyberPower has been doing a very good job keeping ahead of many of the other gaming system builders. The video card that comes in this system, Nividia GTX 460 is DirectX 11 and 3D ready, since the mother board handles triple SLI you could upgrade any time and run two GTX 460's and a dedicated PHYSX card this machine will not become obsolete or underpowered for new games any time in the near future. I'm not sure but if you max out the upgrades on this system it might just become an Auto-bot and follow you around! Good luck to everybody (including me of course!)

The more I look at this computer the more I pray I win. Everyday I have to put up with my friends laughing at me while we are gaming because I have a house fan blowing on my computer to stop it from overheating. This would shut them up as I would skyrocket to the top with a gaming rig like this. Oh man let my dreams be anwsered.

In a world gone crazy to the core i7, one hero stands alone. Asetek, possessing a Cyberpower of liquid cooling, spots Azza, an all encompassing hurricane, in the distance. Fast approaching landfall on September 3rd, who will stand with Asetek and his mighty sidekick Gigabyte and harness the power of computing? One lucky Tom's Hardware commenter will find out!

(and not likely me but hey! I'll take a chance!)

You forgot the ninth fan, the house fan. Running two video cards sounds pretty amazing, i'm assuming you have to have the same brand to run this? Or can you run it on a different brand? I did see this at a computer store but i can't see the benefit of running such. Is it to even out the the work load?

With this setup, you are correct, this machine spec will last you for quite some time and if you need to do any upgrade. The should keep up to date in the next few years.

I agree with most posters that this contest is a nice little twist with people trying to be "smart and witty" instead of just posting to enter the contest. That being said, bummer to the people who live in RI. Overall its a nice system that could possibly be yours for free; with the exception that your "12. Participation in the Contest constitutes an entrant’s consent to the Sponsors’ use of his/her name, likeness, voice, opinions, biographical information, and state of residence for promotional purposes in any media without further payment or consideration." Damn; why can't I get paid too for promotional purposes, maybe a SSD for using my likeness if I win. Good Luck to all.

Are you asking how SLI works? If so:

In SLI, the GPUs render every other frame back and forth. It doesn't usually quite double the FPS, but gives a good extra 70% performance usually, maybe even better with the GTX 460s as I hear they have good scaling. You don't have to use the same brand, but there are limits on how different they can be. I think they have to have the same amount of memory, but different clock rates should be fine. I know with Crossfire (ATI's dual GPU system), you can use different models that are similar enough in family, but it'll lower the performance of the better card to match the other one. I'm not sure if SLI has anything like that, but it wouldn't be a big deal because people almost always get two of the same card for SLI and Crossfire. There's no reason to mismatch on purpose that I can see.

That is what you were asking about, right?

[citation][nom]nightcrawl3r[/nom]I have read all the rules.[/citation]
I have read all of the rules several times now in great anticipation of the coming of the 3rd (of September). I have also looked at the pictures and re-read the article many times. *wipes drool away* Sorry, thoughts of using the computer started to enter my mind again 😱

I think we're nearing the end. The frequency of comments is dropping off precipitously. Closing comments, then, may be in order.

I have found this contest both brilliant and torturous. Brilliant in forcing us, the audience, to write for the prize. Torturous, in that writing is not what most of us, myself included, do. I've found myself trying to gently carry a metaphor through a comment where I thought it would best suit the message, searching for that perfect bon mot, and trying to communicate more precisely.

If brevity is the soul of wit, there are unsung hours of labor that go into delivering it. The composition of a simple answer can be far from simple. I don't know that I will be commenting more, but I know putting the prize on the line has me being more thoughtful about my comments.

Finally, good luck to everyone.
