Significant Difference between x1800XT 256 and 512 MB?? 30$?

I'm looking at a 512 and 256 meg version of a x1800 XT

There's a 30 buck difference and I can't find them listed together anywhere to tell them apart?

Is the thirty bucks worth it? Or is this just more heat and power for peanuts?

Today they perform the same.

Tomorrow the 512 MB one will gain some ground, maybe +25% or so.

The Radeon X1900 XT is twice as fast in 'some scenes' in games btw, as it has 4 times the shader paths.

that helps my question, seems that for just 30 bucks more getting a 512 card of the already good x1800 XT is a good choice. Anyone wanna back that up some more?

here's one more thing... Sapphire and MSI both make this card on newegg with a 10 dollar price difference. Is there a difference in the card itself? Or does this mostly concern the bundle and features?

Personally, I'd go for the Sapphire one, if you want a delicious pizza, yo go to a pizza place, not to an all-in-one restaurant

I would get the Saphire instead of the MSI too.
BTW, I have a HiS X1800XT

really rich? what do you think about it now... discussing this x1800 XT thing and it's competition on this forum is madness. I've seen all kinds of charts and I'm wondering from someone who uses it what they see.... playing Oblivion? what are you playing and what gameplay issues do you have... i've got almost all the games out right now except fear.
