Websites just won't load if i put something on download. changed the router 2 times and it does the same on wi-fi and phone, what can it be? it's like some QoS stuff not working(not leaving bandwidth for web) but same on different routers, so wtf?

Solution
That is to be expected especially if you have a smaller internet connection. Download will attempt to use as much bandwidth as there is available which will slow other application trying to use the connection.

The best way to control this is to set the download limit in the application to be say 50-75% of you download bandwidth you buy from the ISP. QoS in the router does not work that well. Many router can only do upload QoS. The router that can do QoS properly you need to limit the download with a rule similar to what you would put in the pc. It is simpler to just put it in download program than mess with the router. Some application like torrent are very hard to limit in a router and really can only be effectively...

but the problem is it was fine before, the speed dropped if i opened something else while downloading, it's like isp thing or something?

Hard to say why it worked before. Download is designed to use all the bandwidth it possibly can....it would be stupid for it to leave bandwidth unused. If you do not want the download to function that way you need to change options so it limits its bandwidth. How exactly you do that depends on the application doing the download and you need to read the documentation.

As Bill mentioned, most consumer QOS is just not up to snuff. If you want a real eye opener visit asus and netgear networking forums and look at the people conplaining about how throughput goes down with QOS on.

QOS might work for slow connections. But it has its downsides as well.

A good firewall switch like pfSense with the darkstat package would work better.
