1.can i equip a creature the same turn i play "artifact-equipement" spell,
or do i have to wait untill my next
turn?
2. when i equip a creature, on my next upkeep can i just play the equip cost
and equip another creature, or do i have to unattach equipment, wait
for my next turn and then equip another creature??
3. vulsholk gauntlets: equipped creature gets +4/+2 and doesn't untap during
its controller's untap step.
equip 3. my question is; when i attack with equpied creature, and it
doesn't untap during my next untap
step, can i just: anattch that equpement, than untap my creature, play
equip cost again (in this case 3) and
attack again??

You can do it the same turn if you have the mana available. The *only*
time you have to wait for your next turn is for creatures to attack or
play an ability with the tap symbol in the cost.

Neither. Anytime you could play a sorcery, you may play the equip
ability. When that ability resolves, the equipment moves to the new
creature. There's never a time when the equipment is just sitting
there unattached if it was attached to a creature originally.

Not quite. What you can do is this:

- Attack with equipped creature
- Pay the Equip cost to Equip the Gauntlets onto another creature
which is untapped (you need to have another creature you can equip
it onto; you can't just spontaneously unequip it)
- End your turn; let your opponent have his turn
- On your untap step, your attacked-with creature untaps since it
doesn't have the Gauntlets, and your now-equipped creature remains
untapped (since it never tapped).
- You could then equip the Gauntlets to the original creature and
attack with it this turn as well.

Another nice plan is to equip the Gauntlets onto a creature that
doesn't tap to attack.

The Equip ability can be used the same turn. The things that have to wait a
turn are only for creatures, and there's only two of them:
a) a creature can't -attack- unless it started this turn under its controller's
control;
b) a creature can't use an -activated ability with the Tap symbol in the cost-
unless it started this turn under its controller's control.

Noncreatures don't generally have to wait to do stuff, and creatures don't
have to wait to do anything other than those two things.

>2. when i equip a creature, on my next upkeep can i just play the equip cost

Well, there isn't a general way to "unattach" Equipment; the Equip ability only
attaches it. So yes, you can move it from one creature to another just by
using Equip again targetting the new creature.

Again, unless you have a card that says it can unattach the equipment, or
a way to get the equipment or the creature to leave _play_, or something that
gives proArtifacts to the creature, you're not going to be "unattaching" the
Equipment. But yes, after the attack, you can Equip the Gauntlets to another
creature you control, and then the Gauntlets' "equipped creature gets +4/+2
and doesn't untap normally" applies to its new equipee only. Assuming you
have another creature to move them to, of course.

Doesn't equipment become unattached and just sit there if the
creature carrying it goes to the graveyard? If so, then there
is such a time...

If I read correctly, you are asking "can I equip equipment right after
casting it?".
Yes, you can.
A) While all permanents that come into play has "summoning
sickness" only creatures are affected by it - all non-creature
permanents has no problems using tap abilities the turn they come into
play.
B) There are no restrictions on any permanents on using abilities
without the tap symbol (such as equip abilities) the turn they come
into play.

There are no problems in equipping creatures the turn they come into
play either - just like there are no problems targeting them with eg.
Terror (if they are non-black & non-artifact).

>2. when i equip a creature, on my next upkeep can i just play the equip cost
>and equip another creature, or do i have to unattach equipment, wait
>for my next turn and then equip another creature??

Umm, no... There are several problems with what you just described.

First, you can't _equip_ things during your upkeep - take a look at
Cranial Plating:

Cranial Plating
{2}
Artifact -- Equipment
Equipped creature gets +1/+0 for each artifact you control.
{B}{B}: Attach ~this~ to target creature you control.
Equip {1} ({1}: Attach to target creature you control. Equip only as a
sorcery.)

It has three abilities; one static ability that affects the equipped
creature, and two activated abilities that allow you to put it on
stuff. Here we are interested in the two activated abilities.

The last one that just reads "Equip {1} (and then some reminder text)"
is the generic equip ability - the one that all equipment has. As you
can see in the reminder text this one can only be played "as a
sorcery" - comp rules:

212.7a A player may play a sorcery card from his or her hand during a
main phase of his or her turn, when he or she has priority and the
stack is empty.

In other words - no equipping during your upkeep, or during combat for
the matter.

The other "{B}{B}: Attach ~this~ to target creature you control." is a
variation on the normal equip (that to my knowledge only has appeared
on a equipment cycle from Fifth Dawn). This one lacks the "only as a
sorcery" part, and can thus be used during the upkeep.

The second problem with your question is, that you can't unattach
equipment "just because" - you can only unattach equipment if
something instructs you to do so, eg. Disarm.

Disarm
{U}
Instant
Unattach all Equipment from target creature.

While it is a bit silly that your creature can't just drop the sword
he picked up, it is quite the same as you being unable to sac your
Phyrexian Arena if you start to get low on life - you need to
Disenchant it or the like.

But back to your question. So what can you do with equipment?
Well nothing says that you can't equip something that is already
equipped - equipping a piece of equipment automatically unattaches it
from what it was on before.
Also nothing restricts how many times you can activate the equip
ability (except for your ability to pay for it), so you are free to
move your equipment around several times in a single round - you are
even allowed to equip something to the creature it is already equipped
to (usefull for avoiding mana burn, but not much else).

No. As described above, you are not allowed to unattach equipment
"just because". You need to either equip your gauntlets onto another
creature you control (costs 3 of course), use some form of Disarm,
find some other way of untapping your creature, or just accept that it
stays tapped.

Ooo, missed that snippet. Simon's correct; Equip has a restriction that you
can only play it any time you can play a sorcery. Which means "only during
your Main phase and only if the stack is empty [and only if you have
priority]". So not during upkeep, in general.

You can use it right away, if you have the mana.

You may be thinking of "summoning sickness," the informal name for the
condition that prevents newly played creatures from attacking or using
activated abilities with the tap symbol in their activation costs
(unless they have Haste). It's important to remember two things about
summoning sickness - it only affects creatures, and it only affects the
two things I specifically mentioned. Since equipment cards are not
(normally) creatures and so far none have the tap symbol in their
activation costs, they are completely unaffected.

> 2. when i equip a creature, on my next upkeep can i just play the equip cost
> and equip another creature, or do i have to unattach equipment, wait
> for my next turn and then equip another creature??

Neither. First of all you can't pay an equip cost duing your upkeep,
since you can only play it at times when a sorcery can legally be played
(i.e. during your own main phase, and not in response to anything else).
Within that limitation, though, there is nothing preventing you from
paying the equip cost to equip a different creature on your next turn
(during the main phase, though, not the upkeep) or for that matter the
*same* turn, as long as you have the mana.

Note also that there is no way to unattach most Equipment, so if your
second scenario were correct it would be very difficult to move
equipment around at all; you can't unattach an Equipment "just because",
something has to specifically say it allows you, or forces you, to do
this. You can't take any action that isn't specifically allowed by the
cards or the rules, even things that are not normally beneficial (some
things that are commonly asked about in this regard: lowering your life
total, sacrificing creatures, discarding cards).

Vulshok Gauntlets
{2}
Artifact -- Equipment
Equipped creature gets +4/+2 and doesn't untap during its controller's
untap step.
Equip {3} ({3}: Attach to target creature you control. Equip only as a
sorcery. This card comes into play unattached and stays in play if the
creature leaves play.)

No. First of all, as mentioned above, you can only pay an equip cost
when a sorcery could be played, and even if that weren't the case, there
is no way to play that ability (or any other ability for that matter)
during the untap phase. Secondly, as also mentioned above, you can't
just unattach an equipment for no reason; something has to specifically
allow this.

What *is* perfectly legal, if you have enough mana available, is
attaching the Gauntlets to some other creature the *same* turn you
attacked, in your postcombat main phase. That means the creature they
were previously attached to will untap just fine, though their new host
won't. If you don't have the extra three mana to do this right away,
though, then by the next time you could move the Gauntlets, it's too
late; the creature that previously had them has already had to skip
untapping.

No. To both. At any time you can play a sorcery (during your main
phases, but *not* during your upkeep), you may attach equipment you
control to an eligible creature you control. You can do this
regardless of whether that equipment is currently attached to
another creature. If it is, it is automatically detached from
that creature. You *cannot* detach equipment from a creature
except by attaching it somewhere else or when an effect tells
you to.

You can attach the Gauntlets somewhere else before your next untap (but
you can't just remove them), but the creature will not untap then whether
it is still equipped or not.

Argh; read through too fast and thought the card read something like
"When equipped creature attacks, it does not untap during your next
untap phase." My imagination is running overtime. The answer, of
course, is if you get the equipment off the creature before your
untap phase, it'll untap. (Whatever you moved it to won't, of
course...)

Yes... That's not quite what I meant, but I see how I could have been
misunderstood. I meant that during the resolution of an Equip ability,
if it was originally attached to a creature, the equipment immediately
"jumps" to being attached to the new creature, without being
unattached-and-just-sitting-there in-between.

If you have the mana, you can equip it the same turn you play it. There's no
"summoning sickness" for Equipment

Not only CAN you equip another creature on another turn, it's the ONLY way you
can move equipment. There's no "unattach" for most Equipment (unless you play
a spell or ability that unattaches Equipment
from creatures). And you can't play Equip costs during your upkeep, since
they're played only when you can play sorceries (unless you have Leonin Shikari
out...)

Not like this. HOWEVER, you CAN do something like:

1. Attack with the Gauntlet equipped creature.
2. Pay the Equip cost and move it to an untapped creature you control.
3. Untap the formerly Gauntlet equipped creature on your untap step.
4. Pay the Equip cost and move it back.
5. Attack again.
6. Repeat steps 2 through 5.

Again, you can't unattach equipment unless you have a spell or ability that
TELLS you to unattach it. Most equipment can't unattach on its own.
