[SOLVED] Sound in games too quiet ?

Hi everyone !

I really need help i recently built this new gaming PC:
RYZEN 5 5600X
ASUS STRIX ROG B550-F Gaming : https://rog.asus.com/sk/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-b550-f-gaming-model/spec/
RAM 32gb Corsair Vengeance
PSU EVGA 750W Gold
ASUS POSEIDON GTX 1080TI 11gb
SSD m2 1TB

My problem is that sound in videogames is too quiet ...
I tried different headphones : RAZER KRAKEN PRO 2015 model and iphone ear phones both are too quiet connected to rear green audio connector of the PC MOBO i tried connecting to monitor also quiet ...
Tried them on my previous PC wich is on sale right now everything works fine I think headphones can´t be faulty here.

My game is not turned down in volume mixer it´s turned to maximum
I have installed latest RealTek Driver
Game settings turned up to maximum
My headphones don´t have mechanic wheel regulating sound volume
Checked windows settings everything seems fine
What could be the issue here ? When i turn up spotify , youtube , discord etc. everything runs fine and loud.


I have problem with my right ear that´s why I really need to solve this issue games are too quiet for me can´t hear anything from my right ... :,(

Again... this only happens while gaming I don´t get it

Hey there,

In Device Manager, and unser 'Sound, video and game controllers' disable any handsfree options you see there. Simply right click the handsfree device and disable. Then reboot and try again.

A couple more pointers:

First, assuming you use headphones what impedance are they? High(er) quality phones with high impedance-- up to 600ohms even-- may require a preamp to provide good volume.

Second. In Windows Store search for an app called "FxSound" and install it. It's free. It provides quite a nice volume increase without a preamp for my headphones as well as features like an equalizer and a few environmental effects.
