All of a sudden the sound on my computer stopped
working. The speakers are plugged in and ok, but no
sound. I set the speaker volume up and the drivers say
they are working. I downloaded a Windows XP update and
an update from AOL 9.0 and the sound was lost.

Can anyone help. Thanks, Bill Divale

First check:
Right click my Computer and select Manage
Under Services and Applications select Services
Scroll down to Windows Audio and make sure it is set to AUTOMATIC
