Hi the ssd (tried nvme and SATA) hasn't been showing up in the bios, I've tried using all SATA slots (for the SATA SSD) and the nvme ssd worked in another pc but I'm not sure what else to do

my motherboard is ga a320m s2h (rev 1)
and the bios version is at F53 so not sure if I should update it
cpu: ryzen 5 3400g

SSD:
  • nvme: Crucial P2 1TB M.2 PCIe Gen3 NVMe Internal SSD
  • sata: Samsung 870 QVO 1 TB

Any suggestions please?

Welcome to the forums and a Happy New Year, newcomer!

bios version is at F53
https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/GA-A320M-S2H-rev-1x/support#support-dl-bios
You should update your way to the latest BIOS version. See if that helps with the issue, though please skip BIOS version F54 as it's A.G.E.S.A code 1.2.0.5.
okay thank you for your advice! although i'm a bit scared of updating the bios as the last time i tried it bricked my old motherboard. After that i fixed the problem (the pc cable) but i'm still quite cautious now
