Well, this has been so far the biggest mystery I've had with an SSD, so it may be something silly.
Here's the scenario: I was calmly playing one night, like usual. I decide to shutdown my PC for a while, when i go to turn it back again, I get the typical "Reboot and select proper boot device", so I think, I'll just go into my BIOS and reselect the boot drive (i only have this drive anyway) which was my typical solution with this particular issue. Here it gets funny: I can't enter my bios. No matter how much I restarted my PC, I couldn't access the BIOS, whenever I tried doing so, the screen just went black and nothing really happened further than that.
I tried resetting the cmos but again, not much happened, I still had the same error.
Fast forward a day, I tried the ssd on another pc, this time i didn't place it as the main boot drive, I just connected it, and ironically enough, I was able to access all of the information easily, as if nothing had happened, I immediately made a backup of my files and what not. I also checked the health of the SSD with CrystalDiskInfo, everything seemed fine.
I then set the boot priority to that drive, everything was perfectly set, and it still booted into the other one. I then took out that drive and let my SSD alone, and I still got the "Reboot and select proper boot device" message. I then tried every possible way of fixing it, from windows troubleshooter, to the media creation tool troubleshooter, finally, out of a loss of patience, I formatted the SSD and reinstalled Windows.
Even after all of that, the error didn't go away. I just can't seem to boot into this drive no more.
I don't even want to fix it anymore, im just using it as a secondary drive. But still: what happened?
The SSD is a Crucial BX500
