Question Strange problem overclocking monitor ?

Hello,

I have an Old "Dell IN1930" Which I tried to OC to 75hz, The problem is when I do the overclocking the screen goes dark for a second then shows up again telling me if I want to save the change, but the display is messed up, its pushed to the left beyond the screen borders and the quality is bad (pixalated and not clear).

I heard that if your monitor doesn't accept the OC it will go dark for a longer time then reverts automatically to the default refresh-rate, but in my case it didn't, So what is the problem?

P.S i am using a VGA-HDMI adapter (Maybe it's the reason?)

What he is saying that your display is not capable of OCing. That is the problem.

There really is no good reason to try this. You could damage your display.

If you need batter display performance, get a better display.
