Issue Summary:

The computer was working fine for over a year, but suddenly, these issues started occurring around December 31, 2024.

Issue 1: PC Fails to Restart Properly

  • When I click Restart, the computer shuts down as expected, but instead of restarting, the screen turns black while the fans and LEDs stay on for a while.
  • After that, the PC turns off completely and does not turn back on automatically.
  • To power it back on, I have to unplug the power cable, hold the power button for a while, then plug the power back in before it starts up again.
  • However, restart works fine in Safe Boot.

Issue 2: ARGB Fans Not Responding to Controls

  • The ARGB fans that came with the case no longer sync and don’t respond to the Color and Mode buttons.
  • This issue persists even in Safe Boot.
  • However, when I disconnect the fans from the D_LED header, the Color and Mode buttons start working again.

Troubleshooting Steps Tried So Far:

  1. Disabled Fast Startup.
  2. Tested with and without XMP enabled.
  3. Cleared BIOS settings.
  4. Updated BIOS to the latest version.
  5. Tested with and without Gigabyte Control Center installed.
  6. Uninstalled and reinstalled Intel ME & Chipset drivers.

Updated BIOS to the latest version.
Did you clear the CMOS after verifying your BIOS was flashed successfully?

OS: Windows 10 22H2 (Build 19045.5371)
You should be on 23H2...so you have updates pending for your OS.

Yeah, after clearing the CMOS, the BIOS reset to its default settings, but the issues persisted.
I then updated the BIOS to the latest version (F12). Some of the previous BIOS versions had random shutdown and reboot issues, but so far, F12 doesn’t have that problem. However, the restart issue still persists.
I just googled, and it says the latest windows 10 version is 22H2, I think 23H2 is only for Windows 11
