Hi everyone,

As the title suggests I am in need of some builds for a AMD Gaming Build. I have been using an Intel build but seemingly lots of people I know recommend switching up and trying a AMD Build!!

My Budget is £1000

I already have ample SSD Storage
I have all the peripherals

My games I currently play are Overwatch, Genshin Impact, Ark Survival Ascended, ect (Small Indie Games)

I am a also a (Very Small, part time) Streamer so build would be great to go with that.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated

Many Thanks

Hey again. I have everything here or on the way except RAM!!

It looks good to my newbie eye but what do you guys think?? Worth the grab now? Its all compatible with the mother board I got which was the Gigabyte B650 GAMING X AX ATX AM5 Motherboard
Yes, should be fine!
So what do you actually need?

CPU, motherboard and memory, obviously. Is your current graphics card suitable or are you assuming you'll be able to replace that as part of the upgrade? If so, what do you have now?

What about your power supply? Since this is the most important component in ANY build, that's rather important as well.

Case?
Cooling including CPU cooler, case fans, etc?

Knowing EXACTLY what parts you believe you are able to still use, and knowing exactly what those parts are including their model numbers, would go far in helping to make sure you get accurate and relevant recommendations.

Something like this would do nicely. I added no storage since you said you had plenty already.

I would go with this, but you really can't go wrong with any of the builds listed so far. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/gGRDcH
Why would you recommend a 1000w power supply for a system that would already have some overhead built into it with just a 650w unit, that would be a lot less expensive? Maybe you have a reason, but I can't think of what it would be.

I certainly wouldn't recommend anything beyond a 750w unit, at most, especially since Sapphire recommends nothing more than a good 650w unit for that card.

There are other issues with that build as well but I'll leave them alone for now.

Bruh! That's on me for not clearly stating UK and also not making it clear what I have. To be honest I am toying with the idea of keeping my current case. Its a Cooler Master Haf X (Fairly big) and I also a 2 year old Power Supply of 750W exact name is Corsair RM750x

Cases don't really "wear out" though, unless they've been physically damaged by accident or neglect. Case fans, sure, but of course, easily replaceable. Any integrated electronics a case may have is generally replaceable for the most part, so the choice to get a new case will in most scenarios simply be a matter of whether you want a change of scenery or features not currently found on your existing case, rather than anything related to age or wear. The HAF X is still a perfectly good case. They still sell it and people still buy them. But if you simply want a change of scenery or have other reasons for wanting to change, totally understandable and nothing wrong with that. It's just, more money.

If your RM750x is only two years old I see no reason to change it unless you upgrade to a graphics card that needs more power.

I recommended a 1000W PSU so that way if the user wanted to upgrade to a more power-hungry card in the future, like a 7900xtx for instance, they would have enough headroom to do so. I am genuinely curious about these other issues that you have with that build, I would love to improve it.

What power supply do you have?

Ok, well it's generally not a good idea to include a PSU that costs significantly more than what's needed, just in case "someday" they might upgrade again, when they've already stated they have a very strict budget. And also, they clearly stated they have a two year old RM750x, which is MORE than enough for that or the majority of graphics cards. There are only a handful of cards that require more than 750w and they are all cards that cost more than the entire sum they wanted to spend on this build unless you catch a great deal somewhere.

You're right, I will remember that.

So this is the build you would definitely say has exactly what I want in a set up that can go on some years and help fuel my gaming and occasional streaming?

I mean, we've had people that are still running like 2500k systems and just want something "better", which might mean MUCH less money than the builds with a 4-500 dollar CPU that were paintball splattered to the post would have resulted in, and still far exceed what was expected by that person due to what they actually had currently. Details matter.
