System db measurement

Greetings...

There seem to be several tools to measure the db of a given computer setup. I'm looking to test a few different configs and was wondering if someone could point me to a good db measuring tool... Perhaps one that you've used.

I assume when the PC rags rate systems and list db, they are all using one of a few different units. Are there any that have the status of industry standard?

Measuring from different points is going to give you vastly different db measurements. I bought a db meter from Radio shack a few years back for car audio stuff. Its probably not the most accurate thing available, but it is affordable and works well the times I've needed it.
