Looking at all the evidence presented during the case, I would say that Zimmerman was definitely not guilty of which he was initially charged. Certainly, I believe that Zimmerman during that night made several unwise decisions, and that such a situation could have been all but avoided. Regardless, however, as far as the evidence goes, it seems that Trayvon was more likely to be the aggressor.
What I think is truly tragic though, is what this case has shown. That simply because Trayvon was black, and that Zimmerman was half-white, and possessed the appearance of a white male, that the country goes into a huge uproar. Yet, when a man of one race kills another man of the same race, it seems so much more irrelevant to the general public. I imagine that in their heads that they're thinking "oh, it's just another shooting". The fact that someone died no longer matters, all that does is whether or not the people who faced each other were of the same race or not.
People also tend to forget that while Zimmerman may have not been guilty, Zimmerman certainly is far worse off for having to go through court.
