just wondering, why not a freezer in the place of the cooler, paired with a radiator on the inside. the same basic construction but you won't have to put ice in it any more. cool idea thought, and I shore that the results are sweet! thanks for the pics maybe you could explain to me how to upload this type of image to the web site. then i could show you some of the different builds I have done over the years. when it comes to hardware I don't have many troubles but understanding and using software, man I suck. don't get me wrong I can format and configure it fine, it's the rest of it that throws me.

Because the compressors used in fridges/freezers can't handle the output from a constant heat source, such as a Cpu,
this has been discussed many times here and on other forums, it just isn't an effective long term cooling solution :)
For posting pictures, just use photobucket or imageshack, and put the direct link code for the image into your post,

because freezers and fridges keep cool things cold or frozen. something warm constantly will quickly burn out your compressor. and what if your rad is in freezer and you turn pc off? all your fluid will be frozen, another reason why. good luck booting up then.

ok here is where it turns into a foreign language for me (just use photo bucket or image shack, and put the direct link code for the image into your post) what is photo bucket, or image shack, are these online sites, and if so does it cost to have a membership. ( I believe that a link code refers to the stuff at the top of a page usually after the http) but I'm not sour, and how do you make that info into a link.

hay I have never been on a forum before as a active participant. always thought I needed more experience, but now I am starting to get old, and I feel that I have enough of a knowledge base to be of assistance to some people. I'm not trying to step on your toes, but I have built this set up, it was on a 10 year old freezer, and it lasted 7 more years before it gave out and died on us.

yea I am still waiting on a reply on how to do that, meaning the pics of course. but a complete break down on how the system was built and the temps to boot. that is going to take so time to rewrite all of it not to mention the size of would be a small book. do you guys really read stuff like that I know I do. but to me reading about new tech is equivalent to how others view porn. it really gets me excited, not sexually, but the intensity is there. like the new plasma rockets or the new 3D monitors. I mean I will read a 200 page work up on it and all the accompanying literature. but I found that most people are not willing to do this, but maybe this group is different in that respect. you find it interesting so you're willing to learn about it.

Sorry if its seemed like I was being uppity with you man, its just that we see a lot of 'lets use a fridge' threads here and I'm just a little jaded, I'm actually pleased to read your further posts detailing methodology, adaptability and in the same spirit I tend to preach :)
I look forward to reading more of your ideas and exploits now hehe

as for Photobucket or other image sites,
Pb and imageshack are free sites, you create a free acccount and upload whatever pictures/videos you wish to, on Pb I mouse over a picture I have uploaded and get a selection menu, one of which is a direct Http link, I click that to copy it, then paste it into a post here or elsewhere online, email etc, then when you look at this page you see one of my old mods

its simple enough that I can use hehe, I'm a tinker/modder/engineering project kind of guy and only got into Pc building because I can't bear paying folks to do something I can learn to do for myself so I'm in the same boat as you, and a lot of others, but as you know, learning takes desire, application and time,
bear with it mate, its been very rewarding for me so far, and I'm sure it will be for you as well

thank you for the help. I feel kind of like an idiot when it comes to this stuff, especially when you consider that I know basic, asick, C++, visual basic, html, java, python, ladder logic, and a few others. when I was younger I thought that I would get ahead in the programming field, but as the years went on I realized the I would be in school for the rest of my life, trying to keep up. as you know applications are not really written by a single person today, and I never took the time to learn how to use the stiff we were developing. so I changed my field of study to electronics, and got a lot of certifications for different trades mostly mechanical and fabrication. the problem is, I'm still in school, so in that respect nothing's changed. but on the plus side, at least electronic components don't become obsolete in a couple of years unlike the programming style. but they both have their rewords, I enjoyed programming at first. felt like I was donning something, but I guess that with any job it starts to wear on you after a while. And yet I still haven't found my limit when it comes to building stuff.

It is Fesser acid green. i was originally going to go with the primochill but have heard so many bad things recently with plasticizer that i didn't want to risk it. anti kink coils are just on there for looks.

Plasticizer really is a cosmetic issue and seems to be triggered by copper sulfate biocides and radiator flux. Both of these are prime candidates, but even in my testing with an established heater core, NO biocide and hardware store tubing, I was seeing plasticizer build up with and without a killcoil. It also seemed that the killcoil being close the pump and/or power supply might also trigger this anomaly to a greater extent.

Again, the plasticizer issue is really 99%+ cosmetic in that it clouds tubing. Very, very rarely does it flake off or cause any build up in a loop.

Nice rig you have there and Bitspower is the best for that compression fittings, I have some ones too.
