Alright, I've had this rig built for ages but it's rare that I have it inside the case and without any pieces in a RMA process somewhere.
To start with this build
started as an aesthetic + performance build. Then I realized how much work modding is (while keeping things looking nice) and that spray painting galvanized steel wasn't simple. Basically my goals shifted to performance and I bought a second 6970 and a better i5 and went for performance.
So, the paint job is crap (primer for galvanized steel does not make for a strong/lasting finish and it just isn't worth hand sanding a $50 case) and the wire management is "disassembly ready" since I take this build apart every month or so. But for single rx360, the performance is awesome.
I moved to Australia a few months ago for a year of uni and I brought the computer with me in a suitcase. I removed all the tubing, the hdd/ssd, the rad and the pump/controller/drive and made sure everything was bolted in tight. Then I wrapped everything it in several inches of styrofoam and stuck it into a large suitcase.
It turns out this was a really bad idea. At some point in transit, the suitcase must have been dropped 10 feet. Both gpus (each with two screws on the bracket and attached together with that tiny piece of tubing) came loose and basically rattled around for a while. The screws holding them in the brackets were torn loose and the brackets were completely bent out of shape. They did remain attached to each other somehow.
Anyway, the next picture shows some of the damage they caused. Amazingly everything still works (+1 for evga mobos).
I'll post some temperature and clock photos in a sec.
