From what I've heard apparently all you can do with it is adjust the multiplier. It doesn't regulate voltage or anything that would allow for a crazy overclock.

Not all boards which are high-end have that, as a reasonably high-end board costs $200 and what you're saying costs $500.

I, as a reasonably high-end user, don't want 4 graphics cards and 8 hard drives; 2 cards and 4 drives is enough for me. At the most.

Nobody who wants a crazy overclock will want to get a H81 board.

That is not true at all. Mine has all the voltage adjustments of any proper Z97 board. Maybe the new BIOS fixed it? Also, this board has 4 SATA ports, not 2 like many H81 boards do.

Really? On H81? I would have thought that it was limiting in that regard.

And mine also has four SATA ports - I can hook up BD-R, two hard drives, and still have room for a third option.

Interesting. I might have to play around with this and see what comes up.

On another note I'm having some serious problems with the Raven, it seems none of the USB ports are being recognized except for the one my keyboard and mouse are plugged into. I tried using my Wifi adapter as a signal booster but Windows failed to recognize it. I checked the BIOS and both the USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports are there, but they don't show up in Windows. Anyone have any guesses as to what could be going on?

Yeah I did, I've tried flash drives, Wifi adapters, my keyboard and mouse, and nothing seems to be working.

I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens again. If it does then I would run memtest and make sure you aren't getting any errors there.

I've been using Malwarebytes for years and never heard that but it's possible. That error is memory derived and bad or incorrectly configured RAM can cause it but really anything that causes memory corruption can trigger it.

Hey guys. No school today!

Im in a bit of a dilemma. I want to buy an acoustic guitar. Taylor 114ce 800$. AMAZING guitar and an upgrade from my epiphone electric 129$ that ive had for years. I CAN buy it, but my dad In his opinion, doesnt want me to and said i should save up for a car for senior year....now I know most of you will say the car but I find it hard to save up for a down payment...Im taking my playing more seriously ( Not a career or anything, just fun)..and you may be asking flight lessons, well thats the thing. If I decide I wont get the guitar, I have to chose between flight lessons or a car. Because im saving up all my self, and I may sound like a spoiled brat here, and my dad didnt decided to pay the 5k at the get go and I could pay him back, im losing motivation and hopes because 5k+ is a lot...Now If I were to decide I just want my private license and thats it, not a commercial, then it can wait, but honestly Idk ...

Sorry for all this, just really need some guidance besides my parents cause my Mom will say "CAR" My dad will say "You can get the guitar, but I dont want you to" lol

If it were a PC, I'd say go for the new one. But if you already have a guitar, I don't think you should get another one, especially because you don't want to be a professional guitarist. If it were me I'd look at the possibility of it collecting dust sometime after you buy it. Then the choice would be the car. But if you're passionate about the guitar then sure, why not?
As for the lessons, I can't say. But I personally think it's going to be awesome.

One of my friends(also does flying lessons) said flying lessons. My advice is to go with the car for practicalities sake. Then again, I'd buy a better computer, THEN THE CAR.

I should be getting that laptop.. End plan is to slap an SSD in there if prices drop on them for Christmas... I can reuse it id needed

NSA came by today... I missed them as they left before lunch :/
Long Story:
Yesterday, my teacher got a call from them(meaning two people, director chief rank or something similar and an executive leader in charge of the scholarships(specifically the Stokes one I believe).
They came at 7:30, and called out two of my friends from their other classes to speak with said leader/recruiter...

That said, I missed em...

All the excitement I had drained away... Junior year is arguably the worst year.

I can't believe Guitar Hero and Rock Band are still things. I just saw a commercial for the latest iteration of Guitar Hero. I'd much rather buy a real guitar and some real soundboard software. You could actually make some real money that way.

I just played Guitar Hero II recently. So much fun. For someone like me who isn't musically talented, Guitar Hero is so much fun and a way for me to pretend to play guitar XD

It like the new one only has 3 buttons... what? What happened to 5?

One of my buddies actually got beat up over Rock Band several years ago. True story.

I've been wanting to get a guitar and take lessons for a while now, and eventually use my PC for music production. My buddy said that bass was the easy way to start learning.
