Their stock is dropping as a results of all these issues and Car and driver rating them second most unreliable car manufacturer in the world has hurt them badly. They are hemorrhaging money as basically every tesla needs thousands of dollars worth of new motor at 60k miles. There has been talk of them not being able to stay afloat.

Haha, I found this hilarious Youtube video. These computer engineers did a test where they took a perfectly good computer and unplugged the SATA power connector. They took it to various repair shops around towns. All the local repair shops found the problem instantly, but there was one place that recommended something else... The Geek Squad. They said that the hard drive was broken, it would be $70 for diagnosis, and $580 for a new hard drive, and the computer had a virus. When it was in fact, an unplugged SATA cable. Just shows you how much of a joke and rip off the place is. And then the corporate head or someone writes a bull crap letter back about the test about how they're taking the misdiagnosis very seriously.

This is the same reason I am very weary of taking my car to a mechanic as opposed to doing work myself.

I just can't justify paying someone to do something I could do myself for free exactly the same.

EXCEPT I will have to take my car in soon to have the right front axle replaced as I do not have the tools necessary to take off the castle nut at my apartment.

As far as I'm concerned, Geek Squad is a bunch of dishonest scammers. I know of one group that convinced an office full of people that all their systems were infected with a keylogger by the company owner (it was just the Windows watchdog timer). That business had other problems as well, but this created a lot of very destructive drama. They exist to make money, by hook or by crook. As a long-time user support specialist, that kind of thing really pisses me off.

Because as soon as they get some miles on them, they have all kinds of crazy issues. At 60k they need to have the entire drive system replaced. Tesla is covering the costs as an awesome company should, but they are going MAJORLY in the red to do so. They are struggling.

Lets hope that space X landing gives space X a huge boost so elon can put some money in tesla..I doubt he'd do that though. Hes the type of guy that would put money from his pocket into tesla.

Man this whole license thing is amazing! My mom was out shopping and she told me to get donuts for my bro, but its on the other side of the plaza! So I said ok give me the keys let me drive "WHAT? BY YOURSELF NO!!" Then Im like... "Mom..." xD She then said ok. She forgot I had my license lol. SO I GOT TO DRIVE there...ALONE...and get donuts! So far all of my solo driving trips have been for some sort of food haha go figure (im not fat)

I'm not due for a new car anytime soon, I want to pay mine off a bit and then use the money for other purposes. I'd love a Fusion - the new ones look amazing and have some sweet tech inside.

Go with the Ford. GM is bankrupt. I know the Government stole a lot of taxpayer money and gave it to them to hide it, but they're out of business.

$8.3 billion in Q3 profits is bankrupt?

Plus they also paid back all that money with interest and also paid UAW profit sharing. But venturing into GRAPES territory so I'll leave it at that.

There's a reason why I laughed at my friend when his laptop drive died;
A) he throws it around when getting destroyed in online gaming
B) he took it to geek squad

He DID have a warranty, but I'm assuming it won't be worth it anymore. The warranty costed more than the HDD, was a 10 minute swap, and he prolly won't be breaking it again... HOPEFULLY...

I'm not buying a new car anytime soon but the Fusion is at the top of my list. I'd love to get a Mercedes CLA250 or a Jaguar XE, but that's a pipe dream.

Yeah I know Im just saying when you decide to buy a car :p

Also it doesnt have to be a dream. Stick with what you have for a while and just get one and make payments on it. Anything is possible!! Like one day I KNOW im going to own an airline.....xD Maybe not...

You should show him the video I linked above.

In terms of German cars, I like BMW more than Mercedes.

Honestly there you're more likely to make money in the aviation field with a service / maintenance company than you are an airline. This guy I used to work with had a job working at the Victorville Logistics Airport and he said that there's so many people who dream of starting their own airline, then they see the up front costs of purchasing a plane, planning routes and securing gates at any given airport, that so few make it off the ground then actually see flights. Like a 757 alone would cost a couple million up front and then you'd have to figure out what routes between airports would see the most passengers in order to break even. You'd have to offer a pretty exceptional product to even begin to lure passengers away from the Deltas and Uniteds of the world. Or if you're going cargo, then it would take a lot to compete with Fedex and UPS. A lot.

I'm not trying to crush anyone's dreams but... trust me, when you get out in the real world and have your dreams crushed by your corporate masters, then it's a different experience.
