Been great. Life moves so quickly!

Anyone? Man this place is dead lol..if anyone cares what I've been up too, went to seattle and got a tour of the Boeing factory and went to the museum of flight. Fun fun. School starts next month D: senior year is coming up quick, and I used to use this forum back when I just became a freshman.... 😵 How was everyone been?

Things have been quiet to be honest.

Kinda same here. Just waiting for the new titanP to drop. I don't normally go that high end and usually stay with the ti version of the top card like the 780ti or 980ti so I was going to get 2 1080ti's but I'm kinda thinking of going Titan sli this time. Just to see what it's like at the far side of the top lol

Ok heres something to scold me about....I got rid of my GD65 motherboard and my 4670k.....to my brother, who gave me his asock 970 extreme 3 and like i think FX8370 so a downgrade for me, in exchange for....his 2014 mac book air :| Guys honestly, I dont game anymore. I dont use my PC really there are times where i dont turn it on for 2 days and Just use my phone...so i figured the laptop would be most convenient for me. Eventually ill make my PC a beast again, just not now...plus I hadnt upgraded anything ever since getting it. All im going to do now is focus on school, Flying, and as for the PC gaming stuff, just a flight sim with controls....Ok, bring on the hate  Did I spark a debate orrr?

Yeah I want a 1080 because of my 4K monitor but I'm having a hard time justifying even buying a GPU that expensive. I nearly pulled the trigger on getting a Gigabyte Extreme 1080, which included some nice things like the SLI bridge and the VR front mount (I will be going VR at some point) but $700 is a bit hard to stomach right now. Especially since I need a new laptop and I'll probably be getting that sooner rather than later.

I may have found why Omega has been so balky; it seems to be having system drive issues, leading me to believe that its Samsung 830 has reached the end of its useful life. I am about 2/3 through a clone onto a new BX200. I almost hope it fails, in which case I'll finally just put Omega down (FX-8320) and build Enough (i3-6100) in its case.

Onus - I still dont have an SSD haha. How many builds do you have btw? 3? That all being said btw, I did have money. Over 500 dollars but I Bought my dream guitar instead. I made a new youtube channel, fun fact i have one with over 200k views and it was android based but I dont use android anymore...am I not allowed to post my channel here? Its just fingerstyle guitar covers :)

Tiny -if you see this, I got a baton rouge AR51S gace 😀 Straight from germany. About 531$ I listened to what you told me about wasting 800 on a taylor, I love my guitar and its cheaper and they are the best for fingerstyle!

Minion is my primary rig. Omega is still my secondary, but it's on shaky ground; it has stuff on it I'm not sure I can easily transfer or it would likely have been replaced already. Igor is my "lab assistant," used for stuff related to my testing and so I have a PC to surf while I'm waiting for tests. Then there's the test rig, whose name is always temporary and based on the motherboard being tested. Although Scrooge still exists, it is disassembled. Enough is the machine that will replace Omega if I can't get it working reliably again, although I'm optimistic since the clone has succeeded. Then there are my laptops, Hobo and Miser. Miser is in a Faraday cage for comms work if needed. Hobo gets used regularly on Fridays, and occasionally briefly on other days.

That is a great guitar! Nice grab.

Nothing really new for me. In the process of changing cars again, but that's never new.

I'm in the process of buying a new laptop. I for sure want an MSI and I know the laptop I want, I am just waiting for a good deal on one. $1200 for a new one is a big commitment.

I'm helping a friend choose out all the parts for his 950 rig(despite him knowing what parts are needed, he only knows about older parts, like sandy bridge and gt 220s). I managed to fit a skylake i5 and a gtx 1060 with a monitor and OS in that budget...

Yeah that can easily be done.

Ok I need help people. I'm going to start putting together a loop. I am using my 540 case so for now I plan on doing the rad setup first. 360 in the front and a 240/280 on the top and also have a small res. What's good as far as radiators as I guess I should start there. I'm thinking of starting off with the 360 rad to get it in there and done. I was looking at some alpha cool stuff or xspc......I needs some help

i have my radiator and tubing as well as the additives for the loop. Decided on a D5 vario pump. Swifftech sells one at my local microcenter i will just have to buy a housing for it so i can mount a reservoir to it. Im not super keen on the pwm d5......The potentiometer just seems like a better solution. Issue is EK no longer sells a reservoir with that pump. They only have PWM pump/reservoir combo's now. So i was going to get this pump http://www.microcenter.com/product/391771/MCP655-B_12_Volts_Industrial_Pump and then just find the right top that i will need. I dont know the pwm doesn't seem awful but im iffy on the ramping up and down of the pump if its set to adjust to the heat load.
