Damn, I wish I was home. My build is all filled up with fans haha, I like the idea of af120s in the hyper evo, sadly I only have one laying around. Might just put the af120 in the bottom hole.

I think I'll get the h440, that case has style!

It is basically one of the best air coolers in existence and costs $30-$40 less than its competitors, which it handily beats. In most tests, it was within 1 degree of the h100i. Amazing. I don't know why more people don't consider it.

Also your comment doesn't make sense. You say you saved the $60 to put towards a better GPU, but you then spent MORE on a different cooler.

Really? It took people months to get it? I was going to wait when the case hits the local store first. But this Thursday I'm going to visit my local store for a new headset, I'll take a chance to look at the air 540 first. If I like it, I'll take it with me.

If anything else, I'll just keep the phantom for a while. And pick up 2 more Asus monitors.

Tiny - You got me wrong bud. Calm down. Let me re phrase that, I decided NOT to buy that cooler and use the 60$ so I could use that $60 TO GET THE TOXIC 280x for 260$ rather than the 300$ version. This was back in november 1st. A few months later here in 2014 I got my money from my youtube adsense which i wasnt expecting at all to have 333$ in there and I got a monitor and Cooler with that. Does it make sense now?

One of the biggest reasons I chose a AIO instead of air was because I've always been kind of wary of having one of those huge air coolers hanging off my board. That's a lot of weight being supported by the pcb. Now, I'm seriously thinking about doing a full custom loop. I don't really need it.... but I kind of like the challenge of designing and building one that will keep everything frosty 🙂

^This.

I hate huge air coolers blocking the window, ugly looking and hanging down and putting stress on the Mobo...I just like the H100is design and look. I wish i was getting paid by corsair to say this, but Im not 😛 Corsair link is trash though.

Guys I did a small test run with 1.29v and 4.4ghz and the second I ran prime, it BSOD. Does that mean there is no way in hell I will ever get 4.4?

Please, No questions why are you OCing..Lol

This has been tested time and time again, and the force required to cause flexing in the board is so great it could only be generated by banging the system around hard enough to damage other components. The "coolers weigh ant and stress the motherboard" thing is a myth. The CPU cooler backplate take 90-95% of the stress off the motherboard and even the stock intel snap in cooler will stress the board as much as a big cooler with a backplate.

You probably aren't going to get 4.4ghz on your CPU. Just leave it at 4.3 and call it a day. If 1.29v crashes at 4.4, you are not going to get 4.4 simple as that. You just got a less good chip. Some people struggle to get past 4.2 with this CPU while others can get 4.5 at 1.2v easily.
