Yay,

Probably about 10 gigabytes worth of updates. And lots of lag.

I know I know, follow the white rabbit!

I'll have to run a speedtest next time I visit my Dad. He lives in Granisle BC, Canada, population about 50. He's on 'satellite' internet and man, is it slow. Worse than dial up used to be. No porn for him! Yeah, he's that kind of guy.

So we got the car back from the mechanic...
-Transmission had something wrong(wierd noise when shifting in reverse on an incline)
-Filters were in crap condition

And my mom didn't get the belt fixed(not sure which one). Around 300-400 for the belt. I might post something more detailed if I get my hands on the reciept when I go into the car to clean it later.

300-400 for a belt? Even if it was the serpentine belt (hardest to replace), it is a $70 part WITH a new pulley and tensioner. Add one hour shop time and that's $170. This should be a $200 job AT MOST. Asking 300-400 is nuts. Don't ever go back there.

hmm, I quoted my mom there.. Maybe she heard it wrong or maybe she meant something else. I'm going for the receipt now..

So I just swapped the ugly beige Noctua fans for a pair of very nice looking blue Cougar CFD140s (although technically 1 x 140 and 1 x 120). Looks much better. I'll take a picture and post later. I couldn't get one of the clips to latch onto the heat sink with the 140mm fan but the 140mm fan is secure enough that I don't think it will move much. I think with some creative bending, I can get the fan to latch on. If not I'll RMA it for another 120mm fan.

Are the cougar fans as silent as the noctua ones?

Tiny, turns out it will not be 300-400, my mom was talking about the transmission and air filter work or something else. I'm calling another reputable auto shop and the Honda Dealer to see their prices. Thing is, I looked up the belt and prices range from 50 to 250. I'm calling them tomorrow and comparing prices. Also, turns out the prices you said seem to be sounding like what my mom is talking about(50 USD is expensive for us, so yeah). Car has more than 140k miles and is a '07 3.2 TL. Not sure how the 3.2 changes EVERYTHING from a "standard" TL unless the 3.2 is standard. I just finished Econ and am memorizing Energy Policies, so I may sound confused.

EDIT: Why are the prices in such a wide range. This is madness.
EDIT 2:https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&es_th=1&ie=UTF-8#q=2007+acura+tl+3.2+Belt&newwindow=1&tbm=shop
They are all different. I think everything needs to be replaced. Also, I'm contemplating modding the Navi disk if possible if I get this car. If not, meh.

Something related to a system, my phone. I don't like Tor on my phone anymore. I couldn't connect to the net for a few hours lol.

Yup, don't really hear a peep out of them. My Dark Knight rig uses the same fans only the green color. These things are very well built. And the LED isn't too obnoxious.

GUNIT - Consider the corsair AF 140s and 120s?

I have a couple of Corsair AF140s in my rig that used to be on my X61, but in order to get the AF120s you have to buy two at a time.

You looked up timing belts. If the timing belt needs to be done, it will be $500 for the labor alone. I thought you meant a secondary belt like the accessory belt. If it is the timing belt, DO NOT skip it. It is VERY important to replace, especially on the Honda J series V6 motors. If the belt were to break, or skip a few teeth it would completely ruin the engine and total the car.

Also, the dealer will be MORE expensive than anywhere else.

Also, the 3.2 is the only motor you can get in that car (non type-s).

I was playing around with my bios last night, and I found a old, saved overclock profile that clocks my i5 4670k at 4.4ghz.

I was debating if I should have my CPU run at 4.4ghz, because I do have a unlocked CPU, and a Noctua NH D15 cooler. But won't overclocking not make a differences in my game performance? I wanted to play with my gtx 970 as well, so maybe I'll give overclocking a chance with my GPU as well.
