Look about 10 posts back at my post about the Antec Edge and TP Classic lines.

EDGE series moved to Tier 2 A. Though, the Truepower Classic units were already in Tier 2 A in the first place.

Only the 750w model 😉

Until Antec shift to less powerful or more powerful units, i think it's comfy in Tier 2 A.

Yes! I was trying to say that. Thanks mate 😀

Hello.
I just want some confirmation/explanation, are the Corsair AXi series made by Flextronics and the AX made by Seasonic?
Does that mean Flextronics is better than or equal to Seasonic then?
Thanks in advance.

They're just about equal. Either unit series is excellent either way.

It's done. But again, Zalman's units have very few reviews, old or new, of their other series. And I won't count the indie review sites which don't look at the more important stuff.

I was also wondering about this, is it tier 3 due to it not meeting expectations regarding ripple suppression for a platinum rated PSU, and does that still mean it is on par with the Corsair series PSUs in the same tier.
That the Fortress series is unsuitable for reliable overclocking?

Just curious and looking to learn a bit more about the power supply in my build, I have as of yet had no issues with it and am wondering if it is in a low tier as a reference to overclockers and not it's reliability (7 year warranty? etc)

Sorry if I sound like a noob :'(

The tier list isn't ranked by efficiency rating. It's quality and reliability rating based. The Seasonic M12II EVO units are Bronze rated, but of high quality.

Tier 2 Class A. They were Seasonic Units. The Platinum ones were FSP models. The Tier 3 were Delta, but delta normally doesn't fair well with higher wattages.

So my platinum certified, 7 year warranty PSU isn't reliable?
Sorry, I'm not trying to be awkward, just didn't understand the answer, my question wasn't asking why a platinum rated PSU is in a lower tier, I was asking what criteria put it there knowing the certificate isn't part of it and why I asked about whether the ripple suppression being part of that.

After looking into a few reviews deeper, it's moved to Tier 2 Class B, despite the OEM of the unit being ATNG, which they are normally not very good.

Your unit has a 7 year warranty, so don't give it up if it dies.

Just a thought guys. I'm thinking of adding an update section, for which I mean when new units come into the list as untiered, moved to a tier or removed, due to being a bit old and crusty.

How does that sound?

The OCZ PSU brand has been discontinued and is now being sold under the FirePower Technology brand.

Only these models are still in production:

Silencer Mk III Series 400-600W
Silencer Mk III Series 750-1200W
Turbo-Cool Series
ModXstream Pro Series
Fatal1ty Series
ZX Series
ZS Series (230V Only)
CoreXStream (230V Only)
ZT Series

Shame. I really like OCZ drives. I hope Toshiba doesnt change anything but typically when companies get bought out, it all goes to hell. Before Dell bought them out, Alienware was a real name in computers. now they are a joke.

I think it would be a good idea to at least add a date to each unit. If not date of release then date of review. Certainly units from the last couple of years have dramatically increased in quality as well as efficiency. So something that is tier 1 from 2007 would probably not make the cut today.

I agree with @anort3.

For the list to be meaningful, it needs to be regularly purged of discontinued models and be re-ranked (i.e. older models be re-tiered relative to new incoming models).
