Question the screws on my cpu cooler wont reach my motherboard :c

pls help, i never built a pc before, im tightening 1 screw and while im tightening it the other screw just goes higher to where it doesnt reach the motherboard anymore :c


motherboard:

MSI ProSeries AMD Ryzen 2ND and 3rd Gen AM4 M.2 USB 3 DDR4 D-Sub DVI HDMI Micro-ATX Motherboard (B450M PRO-VDH Max)​

cpu:

AMD Ryzen 3 3200G 4-Core Unlocked Desktop Processor with Radeon Graphics​

im using da cooler the cpu came with

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

The screws are spring loaded, you should screw them in a cross pattern, going with small turns on each end;

As Lutfij says, do NOT try to screw ONE screw in all the way first. START EVERY screw just a turn or two at first. To do that you MAY have to push down on that corner by hand to get a screw stated into its socket. Then go across two screws diagonally, tightening each PART way. Repeat for the other two screws. Repeat all this until you get all tightened all the way down.
