I don't know if under windows 10 is the right spot to post this.

So... I just noticed that on task manager under Startup I have this thing called 9cdcf7fb-9bfe-4db1-8698-c4a77efdfb2f.
Last time I went to check my startup apps must have been like month and a half ago and it wasn't there before.
No idea what it, and I can't go and do (Open file Location) to delete it, or find it by searching on windows files.

Does any one know what this is and if it's malware to get rid of it ?
I already use malwarebytes and it's still there on task manager, I could only disable from starting with the PC , but if it's malware just disabling it probably does nothing much .

Help me figure this out please.

When I clicked the link I got "requested link could not be found".

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

What is the file extension, date, and size of the "thing"?

Take a screenshot of Task Manager > Startup showing the "thing". Include as much detail as possible.

Post the screenshot here via imgur (www.imgur.com).

New link if it want's to works this time : ( https://forums.tomshardware.com/thr...at-starts-up-every-time-i-boot-my-pc.3620157/ )

I don't have much details, I just noticed it today when I went to see if armoury crate was enabled after I reinstalled it. I don't notice any RAM being used for nothing or High CPU Usage.
I'd like to find out if it's potential malware or not.

Like I said I can't do Open file Location like I can for other apps, so I can't find a folder or even a file to know it's date or size. 🙁

Don't know if this is what you want but :
Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 19045) (19041.vb_release.191206-1406)

System Model: System Product Name

Are you comfortable using the Regedit app? You don't have to make any changes to the registry but at least you could search for that text and see if there are any clues as to what program it might be linked to.
No Idea how to use it, but I'll look it up online see if I can figure something out.

We've had multiple questions about this exact thing.

It seems to be related to a game. Name of which totally escapes me.
The "52" is the number of times you've run it. Increments each time.
Well could be, but I mean, I haven't installed any new games, the ones I have have been installed for more than months, the only game I open every day is Valorant, and I've never seen this before. And besides, if the 52 as something to do with it and it's how many times I've launched the game seems weird to me because, I tried launching the game play a bit then turn off PC and open up start up apps and the number didn't go up.
Does the name Valorant mean anything to you please. Even if I find it weird to be that.
Thanks in advance

Try to learn more about both names.

Note the small vertical line to the left the of "P" in Publisher at the top. You should be able to grab that line via the mouse cursor and drag the line to right so the entire name can be seen. Look for the extension.

Then right clicking the name should open a small menu with choices.

Some choices may be greyed out. Hopefully "Open file Location" and "Properties" will be viewable..

Just be careful not to Enable or otherwise change anything.

Also look in Windows Update History for any problem updates.

Two immediate objectives:

What are they?

Where are they?
