[SOLVED] Thermal paste on CPU and AIO cooler?

Hello,

I’m building a new pc. I’m getting an I9 with a Corsair h100i cpu cooler. The cooler comes with pre applied thermal paste. My question is would I need to also add thermal paste to my cpu? Or would I be fine without it since the cooler comes with it pre applied?

I wouldn't use both.
I would try it with only the pre-applied paste.
I would check the temps.
If the temps were good I would leave it be.
I would only try different paste if I couldn't get the temps I wanted with the pre-applied paste.

You will be fine without it. If it does come pre applied, I highly recommend that you do not add anymore as the paste on aio coolers are adequate already.
