If it's not detected by the BIOS, the computer doesn't know it's there. You can't do anything to it until this changes. You can try a different drive cable and nd/or a different port, check the power connection too.

I just tried in another computer/motherboard, the hard drive was not detected at all. It didn't get as hot as in my computer but it was on, both bios and windows did not detect the drive.
