Hi, I tried to upgrade my PC today, and I changed the motherboard and CPU, and the motherboard's LED's are lighting up, but the power button on my case isn't doing anything. I'm pretty sure I've got the power switch cable in the right place, so im not sure what's wrong. The components I have are CPU: i9-12900k, Motherboard: TUF gaming Z690-plus wifi D4, Razer tomahawk PC case, Graphics card: Nvidia 1660 Ti, PSU: 1000w corsair. Thanks in advance. : )

All a power switch does is short the two pins on the motherboard together. Pull it and short the two pins with a screwdriver, if the system boots, points to a broken switch or a broken wire.

If it doesn't boot, something else is wrong. Check all your cables and connections, maybe bread board if nothing is obvious.
