On the first page of the article about games based on Tom Clancy novels, the author mentions how prophetic Clancy was when in his book "Executive Orders", Islamic terrorists fly a plane into the capitol building. While I enjoy Clancy's book immensely, let's not give him too much credit here - it was a Japanese airline pilot who flew the plane into the capitol building, not Islamic terrorists.

Now in another of his books, "The Sum of All Fears", Islamic terrorists do detonate an atomic bomb at the Superbowl. Let's hope that he's NOT prophetic on that one.

Odds are that all sorts of tragic events have been written about in fiction. I agree with your view - I wouldn't call him prophetic. If you say/write enough, you'll be correct every now and then.
