I have a TP-Link TL-SG1005D V9 and it doesn't seem to work on my network. I use my ISP's router/modem, and there is a switch built into my home. I have an ethernet running from the router to the home switch. In one of the rooms in my home I have an ethernet on the wall, I plug the TP-Link switch into their, and devices connected do not work, they do not even detect ethernet present. If I remove the TP-Link switch and plug any of the particular devices into the wall, they receive full internet over the ethernet. Am I doing something wrong? Or do I have a faulty TP-Link ethernet switch?
A little more information: I have the ethernet plugged into port 5 of the TP-Link switch which is the internet receiving port of the switch. When the TP-Link switched is powered on (with or without any ethernet cables plugged in) the single light on the front flashes constantly.
