I have unfortunately accidentally deleted my tv tuner, if I purchase one will it replace the one I had

A TV Tuner is hardware not software. How did you delete it?

Your tv tuner should have come with drivers & software with which to reinstall it.
If not you will need to get the make and model number and download the drivers and software from the makers website.
Tell exactly, how you came to accidentally delete it, maybe you only deleted the shortcut.
